Doyeon Kim
My name is Doyeon Kim, a sophomore at the International School of Ulaanbaatar, and I will be serving as the Head of Design for ISU MUN 2026. It is truly an honor to be part of the organizing team for our school’s first-ever Model United Nations conference.
Looking back on my past MUN experiences, they have taught me so much. Although it was pretty challenging at first, I can proudly say that through MUN, I learned how to step out of my comfort zone. This time, as it is my first time as part of the organizing team and as a chair, I am excited about the numerous opportunities I will experience throughout this new journey.
I am also beyond happy with our team, as we have worked our best in our own ways, all aiming to make this not only the first, but the best experience possible, and a foundation for many conferences yet to come.
I look forward to welcome you to join ISU MUN 2026 this April, and be part of the very beginning of this meaningful journey.
Sincerely,

Sanghyun Lee
Hello delegates and chairs,
My name is Sanghyun Lee and I am a sophomore at the International School of Ulaanbaatar. It is a pleasure to be a part of the leadership team for ISUMUN and an honor to be organizing this conference for you all.
This year I got the interesting opportunity to help organize a MUN conference as the head of finance, and I, therefore, plan on making the conference experience more streamlined for all participants.
In my first MUN conference, I got laughed at because I called the chair “My honorable chair”. However, despite these initial struggles, I have grown to quickly enjoy and love the unique experience and memories that MUN brought me—making friends or sending notes. The memories and connections created in MUN—whether enjoyable, irritating, or even embarrassing—is truly unforgettable.
Even if you are worried about this conference, anxious and doubtful if you would succeed, I can confidently say that there is no reason to worry. Once you join your committee, you will start to embrace problems, collaborate together, and fight for your country, stepping out of your comfort zone—and you will, in the end, feel the distinct growth that only an MUN can provide.
I can assure you that you will be able to feel the same experience and growth that I felt during this conference, regardless if you are a well experienced delegate or not.
I look forward to a fruitful and rewarding experience at the 2026 ISUMUN, and I hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Sanghyun Lee

Shawn Moon
Hello everyone,
It is with immense enthusiasm and a profound sense of honor that I introduce myself as your new Head of Social Media for ISUMUN. My name is Shawn Moon, and I am thrilled to be embarking on this journey with each of you, bringing a global perspective from my home in South Korea.
For me, Model United Nations has always been more than a simulation; it is a powerful catalyst for change. It is where diplomacy meets debate, where diverse worldviews collide and collaborate, and where the leaders of tomorrow find their voice today. To now have the opportunity to steward the digital narrative of such a prestigious and dynamic program at ISUMUN is a responsibility I accept with both excitement and deep respect.
My vision for our social media platforms is to transform them into more than just announcement boards. I see them as dynamic hubs of engagement. I aim to capture not only the formal rigor of our conferences—the intense lobbying, the eloquent resolutions, the gavel strikes—but also the vibrant human spirit behind them: the forging of friendships across committees, the late-night resolution drafting, and the collective moments of breakthrough. From insightful delegate spotlights and committee previews to live updates and post-conference highlights, my goal is to create a comprehensive digital tapestry that tells the ISUMUN story in all its facets.
Sincerely,
Shawn Moon

What is Tomujin Alternative School Model United Nations?
The inaugural Tomujin Alternative School Model United Nations (TASMUN) 2026 marks Mongolia’s first-ever student-organized MUN, bringing together the brightest young minds in diplomacy and debate. A Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation where students assume the roles of diplomats or officials in UN committees, engaging in debate, negotiation, and resolution drafting to solve global issues. Delegates will participate in high-level, strategic committees, and exceptional performance will be recognized through a prize pool, celebrating the most outstanding delegates across all levels.
Our Mission
REDEFINING THE MUN SCENE
TASMUN's mission is to redefine the MUN scene in Mongolia by setting a new standard for excellence, engagement, and leadership. We aim to challenge delegates to reach their full potential, cultivating strategic thinking, diplomacy, and collaboration at every level. By introducing a prize pool that rewards outstanding performance, we seek to incentivize competition, celebrate achievement, and inspire the next generation of global leaders.
What Sets TASMUN Apart?
At TASMUN, delegates are empowered to develop strategic leadership skills through high-level committees and immersive simulations. They learn to guide complex discussions, build consensus, and negotiate effectively, all while representing their assigned countries with precision and confidence. Our chairs and mentors provide personalized support, helping delegates cultivate initiative, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities that extend beyond the confer
TASMUN provides a dynamic, intellectually rigorous environment where delegates engage in thoughtful, evidence-based discussions on pressing global issues. Participants are challenged to articulate ideas persuasively, think on their feet, and respond strategically to rapidly evolving committee dynamics. This experience encourages collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving, ensuring that every delegate hones the skills necessary for high-level diplomacy and leadership.
Exceptional performance is recognized and rewarded through our prize pool, celebrating delegates who demonstrate innovation, diplomacy, and outstanding leadership. Beyond accolades, TASMUN inspires delegates to reflect on their growth, apply new skills, and continue pursuing excellence in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. Every achievement is a stepping stone toward future impact as a global citizen and leader.
